Somewhere beyond the sea...
May 2017-February 2018
Quick turn around here! The very next day after graduation, Megan ships off to spend 9 months at sea with Royal Caribbean on board The Harmony of the Seas! She will be playing Patty Simcox, as well as understudying the role of Sandy in their production of Grease!
She did it!
On May 19th, Megan graduates with honors from Marymount Manhattan College. Look out world, here she comes!
Love's Labours' Lost
Megan takes on her fourth and final mainstage production at Marymount, as Princess in Love's Labor's Lost. Directed by Christine O'Grady (Keen Company, Transport Group, Roundabout Theatre Co.) this production turns a classic Shakespearean comedy into a mad cap evening of fraternity brothers, witty women and east-german performance art.
NEW STAGED READING
Megan brings the first staged reading of a new musical to life entitled "Archie's Final Project" by composer Alexander Sage Oyen. An emo-rock video opera based on the cult film by David Lee Miller, "Archie's" follows a fiercely intelligent and angsty teenager, who causes a furor at his high school when he threatens to kill himself on-camera for a class project. Megan plays Sierra Silver, the cheerleading captain who throws Archie's plan off balance when she offers to co-star.
Megan is Janet van de Graff in Marymount Manhattan College's production of The Drowsy Chaperone! She can't wait to begin her senior year with another chance at a life of glamour.
Welcome to Wonderland
In a completely re-imagined production of Frank Wildhorn's Wonderland, Megan understudies Alice while filling out an ensemble of cats, caterpillars, and other wonderlandians. Find your seats through the MMC website.
THE YORK THEATRE
In her second mainstage at MMC, Megan joins the ensemble of Once Upon a Mattress (Direction by Ryan Kasprzak) at The York Theatre. Set in the days of old vaudeville, this show within a show production follows a "Gatsby"-esque retelling of The Princess and The Pea. You won't be short on laughter (or rubber chickens) by the end of the evening!
Back to school time!
Sophomore year slump? Not here! Megan kicks off the new year in the role of Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! A dream role, Megan can't wait to have a mental breakdown and drink apple juice onstage.
